THE FIRST WIND POWER PLANT IN DAK NONG IS TAKING SHAPE
Dak Nong province is undergoing a socio-economic transformation with the approval of 6 wind power projects in October 2020. Prior to Dak Nong, many other localities had already embarked on wind power projects.
Specifically, the Central region is considered to have the greatest wind potential in the country, concentrated in the two provinces of Quang Binh and Binh Dinh. The second most promising region is the South Central Coast, focused on the provinces of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.
The total estimated investment for the 6 wind power projects in Dak Nong is nearly 15,000 billion VND. The total capacity of the 6 projects is 430MW, all of which are implemented in Dak Song district, a locality assessed as having the conditions and potential to develop this type of energy.
It is expected that after these 6 projects are put into operation, they will contribute to supplying electricity to the national grid, as well as increasing the stability of the Dak Nong provincial power system.
In the face of challenges regarding electricity shortages and effective response to climate change in the coming years, the plan to develop "green electricity" from renewable energy sources is a feasible solution to ensure energy security and environmental protection. Therefore, these 6 projects will promptly meet the increasing electricity demand of the economy. Wind power is considered a key area, as Vietnam is seen as having the richest potential in Southeast Asia.
In addition, these projects will create more jobs for workers, contribute to economic restructuring, increase industrial production, increase budget revenue, and contribute to promoting socio-economic development.
Specifically, the 6 projects include:
- Dak N'Drung 1, Dak N'Drung 2, and Dak N'Drung 3 wind power plants with a total capacity of 300 MW.
- Asian Dak Song 1 wind power plant with a capacity of 50 MW.
- Dak Hoa wind power plant with a capacity of 50 MW.
- Nam Binh wind power plant with a capacity of 30 MW.
- It is expected that by the end of 2021, all 6 projects will be put into operation.
On the evening of March 30th, the first of 28 foundations at the Dak N'Drung 1 wind power plant, with a capacity of 50MW, was poured with concrete. This is one of the 6 wind power development projects approved by the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee that has been started construction.
For package No. 1, the Dak N'Drung 1 wind power plant is being constructed by Hang Dai Construction Company (China). The concrete supplier selected by the contractor is Dak Nong LBM Concrete One Member Limited Liability Company. Initially, the company will supply about 20,000 m3 of cold concrete for 2 packages.
In the Vietnamese wind turbine market, some suppliers have participated in projects such as Fuhrlaender (Germany), Vestas (Denmark), and GE (USA). In addition, other suppliers are also showing interest in the Vietnamese market, such as Gamesa (Spain), Nordex (Germany), IMPSA (Argentina), Sany, Shanghai Electric, and GoldWind (China).
To meet the construction needs of wind power projects in Dak Nong province and ensure they proceed on schedule, it is essential to mention the vital supporting equipment. These are large and dangerous projects, and the labor and safety of people are always paramount.
Hyundai Everdigm concrete pump trucks are honored to accompany the 6 wind power projects in Dak Nong province, ensuring strict standards of quality, performance, and high safety.
We hope that with this collaboration, we can contribute to the smooth and successful implementation of all 6 projects!
