SAI GON TRAFFIC JOINT STOCK COMPANY WITH NEW COLD RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY CHAIN
Damaged and unsightly road surfaces not only affect the urban landscape but also contribute to traffic accidents and vehicle damage, leading to health, economic, and social losses. Traditional, costly repair methods are no longer necessary. Instead, cold in-place recycling technology using foamed bitumen and cement offers more cost-effective solutions. This technology is currently being adopted by many construction companies, such as Saigon Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company (GTSG), along with modern cold milling and recycling equipment from Wirtgen Vietnam.
The Wirtgen WR2400 cold milling and recycling machine (Germany) is the key equipment involved in the cold in-place recycling process. This machine allows for the base and surface layers to be milled and then reinforced in place with a minimal amount of cement, bitumen, and water, resulting in a homogenous base layer with high strength and durability.

Cold in-place recycling technology is particularly well-suited for projects with weak foundations, highways, and those requiring high quality. In Ho Chi Minh City, this technology has been successfully used to repair sections of National Highways 1A and 22 with very positive results.
Currently, GTSG is planning to apply this technology in the maintenance and repair of several roads within Ho Chi Minh City. This promises to introduce a new method of road maintenance for the city and help save costs by improving quality, extending the lifespan of infrastructure, and reducing the use of additional materials.
